How we handle your details.

The Children’s Language Centre (“CLC”, “we”) runs this website. This page explains what we collect when you ask for a consultation, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).

What we collect

Only what the enquiry form asks for: your name, your phone or WhatsApp number, your neighbourhood, your child’s age, and anything you choose to write in the optional message box. Nothing else is requested and nothing else is required.

Alongside your answers we record the date and time of your submission, the wording of the consent notice you were shown, your browser’s user-agent string, and the country your request came from. We keep those so we can show what was agreed and when, and to detect abuse of the form.

Why we collect it

We use your name and phone number only to contact you about your consultation. We never sell or share your details.

Concretely: we use your phone number to reach you on WhatsApp to arrange your 15-minute consultation, and your neighbourhood and your child’s age to tell you honestly whether we can serve your family yet.

Who can see it

Your enquiry is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in Cloudflare’s network, and a copy is emailed to the CLC team through Resend so we can reply to you quickly. Those two providers process the data on our instructions and for no other purpose. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with advertisers or other families.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. There are no advertising trackers on this website, which is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

How long we keep it

[To be confirmed before launch.] We intend to keep enquiry records only as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a record of consent, and to delete them after that period.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time — tell us and we will stop contacting you and remove your details.

Children

This form is for parents and guardians. We ask for a child’s age, but never a child’s name or contact details, and children should not submit this form themselves.
